Mission Statement 2022
Pre-school
"At Stone & Fairford Leys Childcare Limited we are kind and show respect to our friends. We always try to make good choices in a safe and happy pre-school".
What can Stone & Fairford Leys Pre-school offer my child?
We aim to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children, where they can have fun and at the same time form friendships with other children and adults, enhancing the development and education of every child.

All managers, supervisors and deputies are trained at Level 3 or above, with 1 qualified to level 5, 50% of all other staff are trained or working towards level 2/3. Each staff member receive ongoing training through Early Years and local colleges to ensure that we are in touch with new thinking and legislation in the field of childcare and education. First Aid training is offered to ensure that a qualified first aider is present at all times.

We operate a key carer system which gives each staff member particular responsibility for a group of children. This means that your child will perhaps form a slightly closer relationship with one member of staff and the key person will know which activities will particularly benefit your child. The key person is responsible for keeping records of your child’s activities and progress. These records are entirely confidential. Only staff and parents are permitted to see these.

RESEARCH SHOWS THAT CHILDREN LEARN BETTER WHEN THEIR PARENTS ARE INVOLVED.
Stone & Fairford Leys Pre School operates an ‘open door’ policy for parents, whereby they can come into any session. Parents are also encouraged to become involved in helping within pre school sessions. Please be aware that for insurance purposes it is not possible for non-registered children/siblings to attend when a parent is helping.

How does my child start?

Children may start when a place becomes available when they are 2 years old. Parents know when they are ready. It is not necessary for your child to be out of nappies when they start pre-school. Please discuss your child’s needs with staff before your child starts.
If you decide not to send your child to Stone & Fairford Leys Pre-school, please inform us so that we can give your place to another child who is on the waiting list, failing to do this would result in paying ½ term’s fees, as pre-school’s costs still have to be met.
